Overview

Offered through the school’s renowned Graduate Tax Program, Master in the Study of Tax Law is a 24-credit program designed to provide foundational tax law training to aspiring and current accountants, auditors, and other business professionals. Building on the foundation of the Graduate Tax Program, program students have access to one of the most comprehensive curriculam for advanced tax studies in the country. The students will be equipped with the practical skills required for immediate success in the field of taxation.

All students receive individualized academic advising and professional development resources, and are eligible to participate in employer recruiting events during the final year of their studies.

Programme outline

  • All residential course lectures are captured and streamed through the course site within 24 hours of each course meeting, allowing residential and online students to view the same lectures.
  • The program also offers a small number of fully-online courses that include comprehensive modules and a combination of lectures and other supplemental materials.
  • The majority of courses have assigned teaching assistants who answer questions and support the learning experience for all students.
  • All video content and text-searchable transcripts of course lectures are available to students throughout the course for review on-demand, and closed captioning is available for all course lecture videos

Admission requirements

English Language Requirements

For all applicants whose native language is not English or the received undergraduate or first law degree is not from a country where the language of instruction and only official language are English., The candidate must submit TOEFL or IELTS score report.

TOEFL exam score:

  • Minimum 600 (paper-based)
  • 250 (computer-based)
  • 100 (internet-based)

 

IELTS Exam Score: Minimum of 7.0

General requirements

  • Standardized test score: Applicants who have not previously completed a master’s degree program, who have not passed the CPA exam, and who have less than 3 years of related work experience are required to submit standardized test scores from an accepted graduate program test, including LSAT, GRE, or GMAT.
